SUMMARY:

Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the Regional District of Central Okanagan (the “District”) invites Proposals from suitability qualified and experienced companies, interested in performing construction work for a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) replacement in the vicinity of 398 Kildare Way, Killiney Beach, Central Okanagan West Electoral Area, Vernon, BC.  The PRV replacement work required can be summarized as follows:

• Supply and install of a 7 m² above ground PRV station in a kiosk. Station includes a 150 mm and 50 mm PRV.
• Site work related to the PRV including; watermain, new hydrant, electrical service install, site restoration, decommissioning and removal of the existing buried PRV chamber.

Full details of the Work required is provided in Part A of this RFP. 

Contract Time: The following are key milestone dates required for the Work:

• The Work may commence anytime after: March 25, 2024
• Substantial Performance of the Work must be achieved no later than:  December 31, 2024
• Total Performance of the Work must be achieved no later than 30 days following Substantial Performance.
• The total duration of the Work (from commencement of Work onsite until Substantial Performance must not exceed 12 weeks total duration).

Form of Contract: The Contract placed as a result of this RFP will be the MMCD (Master Municipal Construction Documents) 2019 Edition Unit Price Contract, together with supplementary conditions as detailed in Part C of this RFP.
