SUMMARY:

Through this Request for Proposals, the Regional District of Central Okanagan invites Proposals for the renewal of two new fire trucks (one for the District’s North Westside Fire Rescue Department, and one for the District’s Joe Rich Fire Rescue Department).  The equipment and services required can be briefly summarizes as follows:

• Design new truck, incorporating department’s existing boxes and equipment.
• Supply new cab and chassis, plus other components
• Receive existing boxes from District, refurbish and remount on new cab and chassis
• Manufacture and complete truck unit
• Deliver new truck to the District

The District’s technical specification requirements for both units s provided as part of this RFP document, and is based upon design and performance criteria which have been developed based on the department’s unique needs.  Respondents are required to carefully read these technical specifications and address each requirement fully in their proposal.  Alternatives or equivalents to specification requirements or named Manufacturers may be considered in some cases, as per the notes provided herein.
