SUMMARY: Through this Request for Proposals, the Regional District of Central Okanagan invites Proposals for the design, manufacture, supply and delivery of a new Fire Pumper Truck, as per the specifications and requirements stated herein. Budget: the Regional District has a maximum budget of $500,000 (excluding GST and PST) for all equipment and services to be contracted as a result of this RFP. The Regional District recognizes that pricing for products and materials is volatile in the current market, and therefore pricing requested to this RFP allows proposals based on both fixed price and variable price elements, to ensure that Respondents do not have to build-in significant risk margins to pricing proposed. Timeline: the Regional District recognizes that there are significantly longer lead times for chassis and other components which is increasing the delivery lead time for apparatus. The District has a preference for delivery within 24 months, but expects that many Suppliers cannot make this and will accept Proposals with estimated lead times which are longer.
