SUMMARY: Through this Request for Proposals, the Regional District of Central Okanagan invites Proposals for the provision of waste hauling services, to transfer waste from the Waste Transfer Station (“WTS”) located at 2640 Asquith Road, West Kelowna, to the Glenmore Landfill located at 2720 John Hindle Drive, Kelowna, BC. The waste hauling services will also include the provision of the contractor’s own trailers/containers used for the hauling of waste, as well as loading services at the WTS. The Contract Term will be for five years, commencing on October 1, 2023 and expiring on September 30, 2028. This RFP contains an option for the successful Contractor to purchase 2 x 53ft trailers that are owned by the Regional District and currently used for hauling services. The Contractor may purchase and use these trailers as either an interim solution or permanently under the new contract.
