SUMMARY: Through this Request for Proposals, the Regional District of Central Okanagan invites Proposals from companies to provide services for the receipt and processing of Biosolids, which the Regional District generates from its Wastewater Treatment Plant located in West Kelowna, BC. Respondents should note that Services to be provided under the contract resulting from this RFP will be the receipt and processing/disposal of biosolids only. Hauling and carriage of biosolids from the Regional District’s plant to the processing location will be provided by the Regional District through a third-party hauling contractor (to be selected via a separate RFP process). The Biosolids Processing Services (the “Services”) shall commence on November 1, 2022 and continue for a 3-year term, expiring on October 31, 2025. The Contract for the Services shall provide the Regional District the option to extend the contract for two further one-year periods, subject to agreement between the parties on pricing and terms. Should all extension options be exercised, this would provide for a total contact term of 5 years.
